Mr. Berg has served as a director of Sunrise Telecom since May of 2011 and as a member of each of the Compensation Committee, the Audit Committee and the Corporate Governance/Nominating Committee since July 2011. Since 2008 Mr. Berg has been the owner and principal consultant of his own management consulting firm, Helmut Berg Consulting, LLC. From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Berg served as Senior Advisor and Consultant and President of JDS Uniphase’s Communications Test Business, addressing global test and management solutions for telecommunication field service operations, network operations centers and network equipment manufacturers. Prior to that, Mr. Berg held other positions of senior operational leadership at JDS Uniphase’s and Acterna, Inc.’s and its acquired companies’ telecom and transmission test divisions. Mr. Berg holds a PhD in computer science from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. and B.S. in computer science from Universitaet des Saarlandes in Saarbruecken, Germany, and completed the General Management Program at Wharton’s School of Management. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of J.W. Speaker Corporation and the Advisory Boards of Empirix and FiberZone Networks.
