Datacom Testing
The Datacom module expands the SunSet MTT's applications to testing WAN/data services. DTE/DCE emulation extends end-to-end testing of data networks and can be used to install and verify CSUs, routers, and other WAN equipment at the CPE. Bi-directional monitoring provides a greater level of troubleshooting for data networks.
Applications include:
- DTE/DCE emulation
- Bi-directional monitoring with Y-adapter
- V.35, RS232, RS449, RS530, X.21
- Data rates from 2400 bps to 2.048 Mbps
- BERT testing with stress patterns
- Control lead status for CTS, RTS, DSR, DTR
- View received data
DTE Emulation
DTE emulation provides an end to end testing for data networks. This can be done in either a point to point configuration or the set can loopback a DCE device (RL & LL) for one-sided testing.
Bi-directional
Monitoring
With
Y-adapters, the SunSet MTT can monitor the data sent by the DTE and DCE
devices. Users may view
control lead status from both sides, as well as view
the actual data bits sent. Other
valuable monitor measurements include data loss.
