Cable impedance mismatches, for example, cause troublesome micro-reflections that often go undetected during installation and service visits. The CE4000 module quickly pinpoints problems with cable and component failures, including damaged or faulty cable, loose connectors, bad crimps, corrosion, illegal hookups, bad in-home wiring, and damaged drop or distribution cable. The module plugs into the Sunrise Telecom CM1000 base unit for fast, easy use.

The CE4000 provides easy-to-use TDR functions for troubleshooting cable TV and DOCSIS modem installations. A technician can identify problems using the CM1000 Cable Modem Analyzer constellation display, frequency response display, equalizer display, and BER test capability, and then plug in the CE4000 module to locate the source of those hard-to-find and often missed cable problems.
