Sunrise analyzes QAMs remotely

By Brian Santo, CED

Sunrise Telecom has enhanced its AT2500 Spectrum/QAM Analyzer with an embedded remote access feature, enabling cable operators to check system conditions at remote headends and hubs using any Web-enabled access device.

The new AT2500 WebRemote allows a single technician to diagnose return path issues such as group delay, distortion and amplifier alignment . This same option also enables an operator to remotely identify and troubleshoot the causes of both upstream and downstream issues in remote areas or during off hours, eliminating the need to dispatch technicians on-site to access the test set.

"The AT2500 Spectrum/QAM Analyzer, a precision analyzer with an industry-best 65dBmV of sensitivity, detects and captures extremely low-level RF impairment, which are invisible to most field spectrum analyzers,” said Bahaa Moukadam, CEO of Sunrise Telecom.
