Several new key features have been added by Sunrise Telecom to its CM3 Series of plant maintenance analyzers. Full DOCSIS 3.0 capability is now included in the versatile test platform. A simple and seamless validation of required network compliance to stringent FCC standards is possible with the platform’s one-button proof-of-performance or POP feature. The test platform will therefore help in increasing the efficiency, optimizing productivity and reducing operational costs. An announcement in this regard has been made by the top company in test and measurement solutions, Sunrise Telecom.
There are critical demands on network performance due to the exponential increase in the use of narrowcasting, Video on Demand and high-speed data loading by MSO/CATV operators. This is also taxing the cable plant. The most comprehensive tool for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting the distribution network is offered to plant maintenance personnel by Sunrise Telecom's CM3 Series. The highest levels of quality are ensured to get the job done right the first time.
A broad array of gated measurements is incorporated by the CM3 Series updates. These include composite carrier noise, composite second order, composite triple beat and advanced HUM. The company's new i-QAM feature is also included. Unique visibility into analog distortions is provided by these newly gated measurements. Analysis and troubleshooting under a QAM signal is also allowed by the new i-QAM option.
A premium portable spectrum analyzer, digital video QAM analyzer and non-interfering sweep system are featured by the CM3 Series. The CM3 Series also features DOCSIS 3.0 network analyzer, advanced SLM and PC emulation. The required FCC Proof-of-Performance measurements can be completed through the tools provided by the new features and enhancements. Troubleshooting is also facilitated through these tools.
In a release, Bahaa Moukadam, CEO of Sunrise Telecom, said, “The new advanced features offered in our CM3 Series represent a premium level cable analyzer in a portable, handheld form factor. In keeping with our mission to enhance productivity for our customers around the world, the added capabilities of the CM3 Series, along with the platform's inherent usability and workflow optimization software, make it a must-have tool for those responsible for plant maintenance and network reliability.”
