This new test and measurement solution is capable of modernizing the field workforce to offer many advantages to communication service providers (CSPs).

Built with extreme modularity and an open platform concept, RxT supposedly defines the test set of the future and its capability to combine multiple technologies into a rugged modular platform increases the productivity of technicians who are responsible for the installation, verification, and maintenance of today's complex services that require multiple technologies. It is the first fully connected, workflow-optimized, smart productivity test platform to improve field productivity for telecom, cable, and mobile operators.

Officials with Sunrise Telecom asserted that as a game-changer in the market, the RxT goes beyond test and measurement. The RxT is a first-of-breed solution that tackles both the technical and business challenges of CSPs leading to a quantum leap in workforce productivity improvement, reduction in operating cost and improvement in customer retention. Its open platform architecture offers full use of productivity tools, enabling access to better communication, tutorials, guides, and job aids.

The platform fully integrates with the company’s other tools for comprehensive web-based tool for asset management, test result management and workflow optimization – realGATE and together they help remove repetitive service calls. Also technicians can email and upload results, access the Web, and transfer files with its Wi-Fi connection, eliminating the need to carry a laptop.

The RxT also optimizes workflow with the RxT realACCESS widget, enabling managers to remotely access the unit and offer guidance to the workforce from anywhere, anytime through a Web browser, even through smartphones.
