Sunrise Telecom Launches DSL-Based Triple Play Services

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

Sunrise Telecom recently announced the launch of its UDSL 3Play module for its Modular Test Tooolkit (MTT) platform. When deployed in conjunction with the MTT Advanced Cable Maintenance (ACM II) chassis, the latest launch becomes the definitive tool for DSL-based Triple Play Services assisting telecom carriers to carry out comprehensive verification of copper infrastructure and triple play IP services delivered over a Global DSL Access Network.

Analysts at Frost & Sullivan believe that Sunrise Telecom has led the revolution in DSL field test solutions and with this launch and are continuing their steps in promoting this standard. With more and more telecom companies transitioning towards IP-based networks, Frost & Sullivan expects that Sunrise Telecom’s MTT ACC II and its latest partner will prove to be an important and vital element for DSL and IP Services testing.

In Frost & Sullivan’s recently released World xDSL Test Equipment Markets Report, the analyst reports that Sunrise telecom was the market leader in the worldwide handheld xDSL test equipment sector.

Those users currently using the MTT platform can easily append the UDSL 3Play module and in the process, make use of the detailed DSL framework and Triple Play services testing in a cost-effective and resourceful manner.

Telecom carriers are now trying to provide bundled services to subscribers and this has necessitated a move towards ADSL2+, VDSL and FTTH technologies. This launch will assist these enterprises in achieving their strategic business objectives.

Sunrise Telecom’s group of products are feature-rich, simple and help service providers give top-of-the-line digital multimedia services in a consistent and cost-efficient manner.

The UDSL-3Play module provides an adequate, timely and all-inclusive testing framework for ADSL, ADSL2+, ADSL2 and VDSL2 based networks. The company has also incorporated simple and easy to use features like the single button DSL test which generates a screen of important measurements, cuts down on initial training time and ensures speedy triple 3Play deployments.

In addition, users can calculate the QoE for IP video by creating a model for a set top box and for VoIP by modeling on an IP phone.
